<br />OVERVIEW
<br />
<br />Starfall Flute adds a magical instrument that can actually be performed in Stardew Valley 1.6. Find the flute after a strange spring thunderstorm, learn six melodies through exploration, shops, letters, NPC stories and a final secret ritual, then use them for farming, monster control, teleportation and mining.
<br />
<br />This is not a tool that instantly activates when a button is pressed. The farmer plays the flute with an animation, each melody has its own short musical phrase and themed visual presentation, and the ability is triggered at the climax of the performance.
<br />
<br />FEATURES
<br />
<br />- A story-driven flute acquisition beginning with distant thunder, an anonymous letter and a one-day search across the valley.
<br />- Six melodies covering watering, crop growth, monster control, returning home and mine clearing.
<br />- Flute-playing animations, individual note sequences and themed visual effects.

<br />THE SIX MELODIES
<br />
<br />Morning Dew Melody
<br />Play outdoors before 9:00 AM to water dry tilled soil within a five-tile radius. Costs 8 stamina and has no daily use limit.
<br />
<br />Sprout Melody
<br />Advances up to 12 crops within a four-tile radius by one day. It can succeed four times per day, and each crop can respond only once per day. Costs 25 stamina.
<br />
<br />Lamb Sleep Melody
<br />Stops monsters within a six-tile radius for 30 seconds. Costs 15 stamina and has no cooldown or daily use limit.
<br />
<br />Dance Melody
<br />Makes monsters within a five-tile radius stop chasing the player and dance for 30 seconds. Costs 22 stamina and has no cooldown or daily use limit.
<br />
<br />Homeward Melody
<br />Returns the player to the farmhouse. It has no daily use limit and costs 40 stamina per performance.
<br />
<br />Thunderfall Melody
<br />Works in mine-like locations. Lightning attacks all attackable monsters on the current floor and independently targets about 40% of breakable stones. Costs 80 stamina. It has no weekly limit and does not silence the flute for the rest of the day.

<br />CONTROLS
<br />
<br />- Hold the Starfall Flute and press the action button or use-tool button to play the selected melody.
<br />- If an NPC, chest or interactable tile is in front of the player, the action button keeps its normal vanilla interaction priority. The use-tool button can still play the flute.
<br />- Press G by default to cycle through learned melodies.
<br />- Hold and use a sheet-music item to play the reading animation and learn its melody.
<br />- Failed or invalid performances do not consume stamina or use counts.

<br />ACQUISITION GUIDE - SPOILERS
<br />
<br />Starfall Flute and Morning Dew Melody
<br />
<br />Every year on Spring 7 after 8:00 PM, unusual thunder sounds across the valley and a vague message mentions a falling light. On the morning of Spring 8, the player receives an anonymous letter. The flute appears at a safe location on the Farm, Mountain, Forest, Town, Beach or Bus Stop. It must be found that day; otherwise the opportunity returns next year. Picking up the flute uses an important-item animation and automatically teaches the Morning Dew Melody.

<br />Sprout Melody
<br />
<br />After obtaining the flute, buy the sheet music from Pierre's General Store for 2,500g.

<br />Lamb Sleep Melody
<br />
<br />Reach four hearts with Marnie. On the next non-festival and non-wedding morning, a timed letter arrives. Speak to Marnie that day to receive the sheet music.
<br />
<br />Dance Melody
<br />
<br />Reach four hearts with Emily. On the next non-festival and non-wedding morning, a timed letter arrives. Speak to Emily that day to receive the sheet music.

<br />Homeward Melody
<br />
<br />Reach four hearts with the Wizard. On the next non-festival and non-wedding morning, a timed letter arrives. Visit the Wizard's Tower that day to receive the sheet music.
<br />
<br />The three NPC routes are independent and do not require one another, but only one invitation can be sent per day. If an invitation is missed, that sheet is unavailable for the rest of the current year and can be offered again next year if the conditions are still met.

<br />Thunderfall Melody
<br />
<br />Learn the other five melodies and wait for a lightning day. A letter from the Wizard will arrive. On that same day after 8:00 PM, enter the Secret Woods, hold one Prismatic Shard and interact with the Old Master Cannoli statue. The statue consumes the offering, calls down repeated thunder and white flashes, and gives the Thunderfall sheet music. Incorrect time, location, weather, held item or inventory space prevents the ritual from starting and does not consume the shard.

<br />INSTALLATION
<br />
<br />1. Install SMAPI 4.0.0 or later.
<br />2. Download and extract the archive.
<br />3. Place the StarfallFluteMod folder directly inside Stardew Valley/Mods.
<br />4. Launch the game through SMAPI.
<br />
<br />There are no required dependencies other than SMAPI.
<br />
<br />COMPATIBILITY AND LIMITATIONS
<br />
<br />- Designed for Stardew Valley 1.6.15.
<br />- Developed and tested with SMAPI 4.5.2 on Windows 11.
<br />- Current in-game text is Simplified Chinese only.
<br />- Single-player and the host player are supported.
<br />- Remote farmhands and split-screen secondary players are intentionally disabled in public V1 to prevent multiplayer save-state conflicts.
<br />- The mod does not replace maps or bundle original game image or audio files.

<br />The following options are generated in config.json after the first launch:

<br />- CycleMelodyKey: key used to cycle melodies. Default: G.
<br />- AutoLearnMorningDewWhenGettingFlute: automatically learn Morning Dew when the flute is found. Default: true.
<br />- EnableNaturalFluteDrop: enable the natural Spring 8 flute event. Default: true.
<br />- EnableDebugCommands: developer testing commands. Default: false.

<br />六首旋律
<br />
<br />晨露曲
<br />09:00 前在室外演奏,浇灌玩家半径 5 格内的干燥耕地。每次消耗 8 点体力,没有每日次数限制。
<br />
<br />助苗曲
<br />推动半径 4 格内最多 12 株作物向前生长一天。每天最多成功演奏 4 次,同一株作物每天只会响应一次,每次消耗 25 点体力。
<br />
<br />眠羊曲
<br />让半径 6 格内的怪物停止行动 30 秒。每次消耗 15 点体力,没有冷却和每日次数限制。
<br />
<br />跳舞曲
<br />让半径 5 格内的怪物停止追击并随节拍跳舞 30 秒。每次消耗 22 点体力,没有冷却和每日次数限制。
<br />
<br />归巢曲
<br />将玩家送回农舍。不限每日次数,每次消耗 40 点体力。
<br />
<br />惊雷曲
<br />只能在矿洞类地图发挥作用。雷电会攻击当前层所有可攻击怪物,并分别判定约 40% 的可破坏石头。每次消耗 80 点体力,没有周限,也不会让魔笛当天沉默。

<br />操作方式
<br />
<br />- 手持星陨魔笛,按动作键或使用工具键演奏当前旋律。
<br />- 面前存在 NPC、箱子或可交互地块时,动作键优先执行原版交互;使用工具键仍可演奏。
<br />- 默认按 G,在已经学会的旋律之间循环切换。
<br />- 手持曲谱并使用,即可播放翻书演出并学习对应旋律。
<br />- 条件不满足或效果失败时,不会扣除体力或使用次数。

<br />
<br />每年春季 7 日 20:00 后,山谷会响起一声异常雷声,并出现关于坠落微光的模糊提示。春季 8 日早晨会收到匿名信,魔笛将在农场、山区、森林、城镇、海滩或巴士站中的一个安全位置出现。必须当天找到;错过后只能等下一年。拾取魔笛时会播放重要物品动作,并自动领悟晨露曲。

<br />先学会前五首旋律,并等待雷雨天收到法师信件。当天 20:00 后前往秘密森林,手持一块五彩碎片与老者雕像交互。雕像会吞下祭品,引发连续惊雷与白光,并给予惊雷曲乐谱。时间、地点、天气、祭品或背包空间不正确时,仪式不会开始,也不会消耗五彩碎片。
